Hands-On Workshop Lung Cancer Screening: From Initial Read to Consenus

From initial read to consensus – structured reporting in practice at RÖKO 2026

As part of RÖKO 2026, we are pleased to invite you to an interactive hands-on workshop on lung cancer screening in accordance with the requirements of the German Federal Joint Committee (G-BA).

With the introduction of the national lung cancer screening program, structured reporting, standardized workflows, and double reading are becoming increasingly central to radiological practice. This workshop provides a practical, case-based introduction to implementing these requirements – from the initial read to consensus decision-making.

Secure your spot now and experience structured reporting in lung cancer screening first-hand.

Event Details:
  • Date: Wednesday, May 13, 2026
  • Time: 16:00 – 18:00
  • Location: Mehrzweckfläche 4
Speakers:
  • Dr. Simon Lennartz – Senior Consultant Radiologist, University Hospital Cologne
  • Dr. Prerana Agarwal – Senior Physician, University Medical Center Freiburg

Workshop Content and Objectives

This two-hour workshop combines concise expert updates with a hands-on practical session.

What to expect:

  • Focused update: Overview of requirements for structured reporting and screening workflows
  • Best practices in lung cancer screening: Insights from clinical experience
  • Introduction to mint Lesion: Structured reporting and workflow support

Hands-On Session: Double Reading and Consensus Workflow

During the practical session, participants will work independently at dedicated workstations and go through the full screening workflow:

  • Performing initial reads based on realistic case examples
  • Conducting second reads based on pre-existing, intentionally divergent reports
  • Analyzing discrepancies and simulating a consensus conference
  • Documenting the final result in accordance with G-BA requirements

Each case is designed with a specific learning objective, highlighting key aspects of structured reporting in lung cancer screening.

Why attend?

  • Deepen your understanding of lung cancer screening in Germany
  • Learn how to implement G-BA requirements in clinical practice
  • Experience structured reporting and double reading workflows hands-on
  • Exchange insights with experts and peers

Registration

Participation in the hands-on session is limited due to the number of available workstations. Workstations will be provided.
