Mint Medical and Agfa HealthCare announce seamless integration of mint Lesion and ORBIS RIS at RSNA 2018

Heidelberg, Bonn, GER - At this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting 2018, Agfa HealthCare and Mint Medical will announce a seamless integration of ORBIS RIS and mint Lesion™ - a platform for structured image-based reporting. This integration is a major improvement of the interaction of both systems for joint customers, especially for the use in clinical routine. Users are now able to open mint Lesion™ directly from the ORBIS RIS reporting within the same patient and user context. After completion of the reading and reporting in mint Lesion™, the results are automatically integrated into the ORBIS RIS report.

„An efficient radiological assessment, with the assistance of modern IT systems, is crucial for user satisfaction. The better involved systems interact, the more comfortable the user experience, and we are pleased to be able to offer this to our customers,” states Dr. Matthias Baumhauer, CEO, Mint Medical GmbH.

Winfried Post, General Manager and Managing Director, Agfa HealthCare DACH, explains: „With the integration of mint Lesion™ with ORBIS RIS we respond to the great wish of our joint customers for a convincing interaction of both systems. We are convinced that the future belongs to those systems that open up and, in the interest of our customers, can be well integrated into each other.”

Existing as well as new customers can order the integration solution directly from Mint Medical, and its implementation is realized in close coordination with the Agfa HealthCare team.

mint Lesion™ allows for multi-modality reading and reporting while at the same time considering the concrete reading task as well as the relevant guideline and automatically creates a structured report. The software guides the user through the reading process ensuring all relevant pieces of information are captured and are therefore conform with e.g. the ACR RADS classification, the TNM criteria or therapy response criteria like RECIST 1.1.

ORBIS RIS is one of the leading RIS in the German-speaking countries and is used by more than 400 customers.
