Privacy policy for newsletter recipients
Scope and basis of data processing
With the newsletter of Mint Medical GmbH we provide information about our company and our offers and transmit information about new technical functionalities of our products. For the purpose of sending our newsletter, we store at least a valid e-mail address and a first and last name from you. Optionally, you can also provide us with a title and academic degree.
We do not use these data for purposes other than personalization and sending the newsletter. Your data will be stored password-protected and encrypted only on data processing systems in the EU.
For the dispatch of the newsletter and the proper management of subscriptions and unsubscriptions, Mint Medical GmbH may use external service providers with whom a contract for commissioned data processing has been concluded. When selecting service providers, attention is paid to GDPR compliance; only service providers that store their data exclusively in the EU are used.
If you give us your consent via en electronic opt-in method, we also store the IP address and the timestamp of your confirmation and associate it with the email address used. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers to receive the newsletter without your knowledge.
Image elements may be embedded in our newsletters, which are loaded from an external Internet server at the time the e-mail is viewed. When these images are retrieved, typical server log data (IP address from which access is made, information about the web browser used, timestamp) are recorded and stored on the web server. However, the resources retrieved in this way are not personalized to the recipient of the message, i.e. they do not permit person-specific tracking. The external storage of this content only serves the purpose of being able to present you with a visually appealing newsletter based on our legitimate interest, without unnecessarily increasing the data volume associated with sending and storing the e-mail on your system.
Should you wish to delete your data, correct the data or view the stored data, we must store the communication data (such as the e-mail address used and the times of transmission) for the duration of the processing of your request.
Within our company, only those groups of people will have access to the personal data you have provided who need it to create and send the newsletter or to process your request to delete, correct or view the stored data. Your data will only be stored as long as a legal basis exists. If you are not a customer of Mint Medical GmbH, your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a of the GDPR is the legal basis. Of course, you can revoke this consent at any time. Existing customers receive the newsletter on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR), as the information contained in the newsletter about new product versions, new technical functionalities, etc. concerns the safe use of our product and it is in our interest to inform existing customers in the efficient way of a newsletter about such innovations relevant to their daily work with our software. However, you can of course object to the use of your data for this purpose at any time.
Information about your rights
You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the email address and/or its use for sending the newsletter at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR). If your consent was the only legal basis for storage within the meaning of Art. 6 GDPR, your data will then be deleted immediately in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR. You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time as to whether and what data we are storing about you and for what purpose the processing is carried out (Art. 15 GDPR). You have the right to have the stored data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR). You also have the right to receive the data stored about you in a structured, common and machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR). You also have the right to request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) if you doubt the accuracy of the personal data, if the processing is unlawful but you do not wish it to be erased, or if the purpose of processing has ceased to apply but you need the data to assert legal claims.
If you believe that the processing of your data is not in compliance with the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). To do so, please contact the competent supervisory authority.
