Mint Medical and mediaire strengthen the prostate cancer care pathway with AI-Powered MRI Solutions

Mint Medical, a Snke company, and mediaire announce a collaboration to advance AI‑powered MRI workflows through the interoperability of mint Lesion and mdprostate.

The collaboration connects structured reporting with AI‑driven quantitative image analysis, enabling more integrated and efficient patient management.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Europe, with more than 330,000 new cases and approximately 76,000 deaths reported each year (1), underscoring the need for precise diagnostics and consistent follow‑up care.

The integration of the software solutions from mediaire and Mint Medical enables radiologists to access AI-generated insights from mdprostate seamlessly with mint Lesion supporting structured reporting, improving diagnostic consistency, and enabling longitudinal tracking of findings over time.

Onur Özek, Managing Director at Mint Medical, emphasizes:

“The interoperability with mdprostate represents an important milestone in delivering AI‑enhanced value to customers. Embedding additional AI capabilities directly into mint Lesion strengthens workflow efficiency and supports the consistent use of advanced imaging analytics in routine follow‑ups.”

The integration of mdprostate and mint Lesion provides a streamlined workflow for the characterization and documentation of prostate MRI. Published clinical evidence in the European Journal of Radiology (2) demonstrates mdprostate's performance in identifying and grading lesions using PI-RADS criteria. While mediaire's solution offers automated detection across biparametric and multiparametric MRI, mint Lesion provides the structured interface for the guided assessment of the peripheral and transition zones.

This collaborative solution automatically determines PSA density, lesion volumes and incorporates PI-QUAL v2. It ensures interoperability with biopsy fusion systems to assist in subsequent procedures. By combining these automated analytics with standardized reporting, the two systems support the clinical pathway from initial imaging to targeted biopsy.

Andreas Lemke, CEO of mediaire, states:

“This partnership perfectly aligns with our ambition to be a dedicated MRI specialist addressing the workflow end‑to‑end. Our solutions are highly complementary, and together we enhance our customers’ workflows while expanding our mutual geographical reach and growth opportunities.”

Together, Mint Medical and mediaire provide radiology departments with a scalable, interoperable ecosystem that combines structured reporting excellence with advanced AI‑powered MRI insights. This partnership is particularly critical for following prostate cancer patients, as mediaire delivers detailed AI‑driven imaging insights while mint Lesion provides the tools to adjust care plans, track findings over time, and ensure consistent patient follow‑up. By combining these strengths, the integrated solution supports greater efficiency, consistency, and clinical confidence throughout the patient journey.
