Joint partnership between Mint Medical and Siemens Healthineers syngo.via

Siemens Healthineers and Mint Medical joined forces to accelerate imaging and result reporting software availability in hospitals when and where it is needed. This collaboration, announced at the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting on November 27th 2017, will enable users to run mint lesion on syngo.via – an intelligent and integrated imaging software for multi-modality reading and reporting. This integration is enabled by syngo.via OpenApps which connects syngo.via to the Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem Store.

“The need for advanced visualization software due to more complex treatments is growing. The partnership with Siemens Healthineers enables us to make our context-sensitive and guideline-driven solution available to users worldwide in an easy and trusted way.” – states Dr. Matthias Baumhauer, CEO, Mint Medical GmbH.

With this launch, Mint Medical provides an adapted version of mint Lesion – mint Lesion for OpenApps – on syngo.via. mint Lesion allows users to combine image assessment with an automated structured reporting by considering guidelines for each particular clinical application context. The software guides through the reading procedure and ensures that all relevant information will be captured to be in line with e.g. the ACR RADS classifications, TNM guidelines or criteria for therapy response assessment like RECIST 1.1.

Carsten Bertram, Head of Syngo, Siemens Healthineers, explains: “By incorporating mint Lesion into syngo.via, we jointly support the entire workflow: from patient diagnosis to therapy response evaluation and structured reporting. This is a cost-effective way to increase the clinical capabilities of our customers and transform care delivery.”

syngo.via OpenApps provides direct and open access to a growing variety of clinical applications from Siemens Healthineers and partners – directly on syngo.via. OpenApps also connects syngo.via to the Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem Store. The store enables users to browse, download, and test apps as well as request quotations in line with a flexible subscription concept. With only one click, apps are installed on the safe environment of syngo.via, thus fitting seamlessly into the clinical workflow.
